M-47 Exhibits
As part of our effort to respectfully restore the M-47 Patton tank at Millstadt VFW Post 7980, we have visited other M-47 tanks across the region to study how they are preserved. These visits allow us to observe authentic paint schemes, unit markings, insignia placement, and overall presentation used by museums, veterans organizations, and historical sites. By learning from how other M-47 Patton tanks are displayed, we can ensure that our restoration reflects historical accuracy.
